“A Thing of Beauty”

K2CO is touring a double bill of beautiful and thrilling dance in 2025. K2Co are looking for one exceptional female dancer to join the cast of ‘Fantasia’.

Fantasia is a work of pure dance with three brilliant female dancers to the music of Vivaldi, J.S Bach, Purcell, Beethoven, Vaughn Williams and many other classical composers.

Rosie Kay flexes her choreographic muscles, creating an evening’s entertainment of pure joy, physicality, deep emotion and cheeky humour. Nominated as the BEST Dance of 2019 by The Guardian, with its flamboyant tutus, hassled catsuits and naughty see-through gowns, this work is beautiful contemporary dance and music at its finest. Expect to leave the theatre with the desire to dance! Designed in three parts this beautiful hour long work takes us on a journey of music, delight and fantasy.

Date: 3rd February 2025

Time: 10am-11am Registration. 11.00-5.30pm Audition

Where: Central Birmingham

 

Round 2

Date: 16th February

Time: 10am-11am Registration. 11.00-5.30pm Audition

Where: Central Birmingham

All auditions are invite only

Round 2 attendants must have attended round 1

 

What we’re looking for

  • Female performers with great technique and wonderful performance qualities

  • Great training in ballet and contemporary dance styles

  • Exquisite musicality and a love of close musical choreography

  • Willingness to work closely with others

  • Enjoy working hard and learning complex repertoire

  • Professionally trained with at least two years experience of performing

  • Strong listening and leadership skills

  • Short link of 1 minute of you dancing. Not theatre performance - we want to see you in a space moving

  • Details of a choreographer you have worked with who can recommend you

Touring Dates: 22nd-24th May, 20th-22nd June, 1st-4th July

 

Fees:

£601.00 p/w rehearsals

£750 p/w week for production week + performances

£400 additional tour dates

 

Expenses:

Accommodation and travel will be provided as necessary for the rehearsal, production and touring periods.

Per diems paid on performance days.
